NEW POLICY
According to the newly revised Wake County Public Schools Board Policy 6860 section Q. “Students enrolled and attending WCPSS middle or high school programs without interscholastic athletics will have the opportunity to participate in athletics. For each school without interscholastic athletics, the Superintendent/Designee will assign a school for athletic purposes.”
Parents are responsible for transporting students from STEM to Athens Drive for practice each day and competitions.
Our partner school for athletics is Athens Drive High School. Students who are interested in participating in athletics will find ALL information about the sports offered, eligibility requirements, tryouts, practice, and calendar information from the Athens Drive website. A link to that website is posted below. No transportation will be provided from STEM ECHS to Athens Drive High School. Parents are responsible for transporting students from STEM to Athens Drive for practice each day and competitions. Please note that all questions regarding athletics must be directed to the athletic director and or coaches at Athens Drive High School. Wake NC State University STEM Early College High School staff does not have and is not responsible for the dissemination of athletic information for our partner school.
